WEEK 1
WEEK 2
WEEK 3 + WEEK 4
goal: progress in my focus points (shading, textures and realism
introduction with cinema 4d through following tutorials
goal: get familiar with the program
I mainly followed Andy Needham's course on LinkedinLearning (lynda) and did one chapter everyday
After learning the how to create basic shapes I decided to focus on shading, textures and realism
some final sculpting results of week 1
For this week I mainly followed Andy Needham's tutorials in shading, lightning, colours and materials
trying out the lightning tool and adding colours
trying out the lightning tool and adding colours but applying to 3D renders
PLUSWEEKS
Geeske Boudestein • cinema 4D
In the upcoming weeks i want to learn more and develop my skill in cinema 4d. In the last two years i have delved more in to motion design but never 3d design. I think having cinema 4d as a skill could be really helpful for future motion design projects.
My end goal is to be able to create visuals in cinema 4d which i can use in my graphic design major + a visual for my portfolio website to showcase my skill and make my portfolio website more visual appealing/stand-out
plusplan
goal: learning motion design,
present skills through serie of posters
motion design try-out
FINAL OUTCOME
For my finale income I skipped the idea of making visuals for my website since I was very limited to my (lack in) skills so it was hard to realise my own ideas from scratch. Instead I chose to create posters based on the tools and skills I learned.
I also didnt use motion design in my final result, I did try out motion design in week 3 but realised this would still take me a lot of time to learn (and my laptop couldnt handle it very well) so I thought it would be more helpful for me to really focus being able to make 3D models since this is already a quite complicated process.
I am still planning on doing more and diving into motion design.
